The new Ford F-150 Lightning is an all-electric full-size pickup truck. The new F-150 Lightning is built to provide powerful capabilities, a sleek aesthetic, and an intuitive interior. The Ford F-150 Lightning offers various features in a handful of trim levels.
F-150 Lightning Trims
The Ford F-150 Lightning is available in four trim levels. The Ford F-150 Pro is the base model. The next trim level up is the F-150 Lightning XLT. The Lightning XLT adds cloth seats, a 360-degree camera, front and rear sensors, LED box lighting, and signature lighting on the rear.
The F-150 Lightning LARIAT provides a refined experience by adding a 15.5-inch touchscreen display and heated, ventilated leather-trimmed seats. The Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum features a Vador Black grille, Rainlamp wiper-activated headlamps, Ford BlueCruise for hands-free driving on certain highways, and other luxury features.
F-150 Lightning Interior and Exterior
The new Ford F-150 Lightning interior features dual-zone auto temperature control, a black urethane steering wheel, and a stable floor shifter. The F-150 Lightning comes standard with heated, four-way, manually adjustable front vinyl bucket seats. The rear features a 60/40 flip-up split bench with an elongated cushion. The Ford F-150 Lightning truck comes standard with a 5.5-foot box that provides 52.8 cubic feet of cargo space.
The exterior comes standard with auto on/off wiper-activated headlamps, automatic high beams, and a power-lock tailgate. The LED projector headlamps on this F-150 feature dynamic bending. The exterior also features power-adjustable side mirrors, tie-down hooks, and a fully boxed high-strength steel frame. The front and back bumpers are black, and the grille is carbon black. The exterior also features a class IV trailer hitch.
F-150 Lightning Performance
The standard range 98-kilowatt-hour dual motor powertrain generates up to 462 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque. With the 131-kilowatt-hour extended-range battery capacity, the F-150 Lightning generates up to 580 horsepower. The estimated range for the base F-150 Lightning is 240 miles. The F-150 Lightning reaches 60 miles per hour on the standard range battery in as little as 4.1 seconds.
This all-electric Ford F-150 has a 5,000-pounds towing capacity. The F-150 Lightning is a 4x4 five-seater Supercrew cab with a 2,235-pound payload capacity. An independent suspension is standard on the front and rear. The F-150 Lightning also has one-pedal driving mode, a regenerative braking system, and four selectable driving modes.
F-150 Lightning Technology Features
The Ford F-150 comes standard with smart-device integration and a 12-inch digital productivity touchscreen display with enhanced voice recognition. This all-electric pickup truck has a push-button start, cruise control, and an outside temperature display. The F-150 Lightning also comes standard with smart-device integration and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. This all-electric F-150 also comes standard with a remote keyless entry system.
F-150 Lightning Safety
The Ford F-150 Lightning comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360™, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, post-collision braking, lane-keeping, and reverse sensing systems. The new all-electric Ford F-150 has a rear-view camera, advanced airbag systems, and a Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alerts.
The all-electric F-150 truck also features curve control and AdvanceTrac with roll stability control. The F-150 Lightning also features dynamic brake support, evasive steering assist, intersection assist, and hill descent control. This full-size all-electric pickup truck also comes standard with Pro Trailer Backup Assist, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, and pedestrian detection.
